Type Anatomy Exploration

 Reflection



I enjoyed this project even though I kind of procrastinated on it. I actually learned quiet a bit especially when it came to type anatomy which I still think needs some work since I struggle to identify them and don't know most of the anatomy. I did though learn how to utilize graphic design in a presentation as well as an inference as to how certain letters anatomy could be utilized in the design process in order to make it better. I also learned how fonts influence the anatomy and can change things about the letter. I enjoyed the project and would like to do something similar like with the video aspect so I can make some improvements as I haven't done voice overs in a while so it would be a good chance to learn more.

  Plane 1: This shows plane as it shows different values that display contrast and consists of only flat shapes. I feel like I did pretty well on this as it shows negative and positive space equally but there are some small mistakes. Line 1: This shows line as it shows random lines in all different places and in different lengths. I feel like I did well as the lines are fairly straight and create an abstract piece of work but there are some small mistakes. Point 1: This shows point as it is a bunch of dots scattered around the page. I feel like I did well as I used different types of points in different shapes and sizes. Exploring Repetition Final

I feel like I did well on this one as I took the most time with it. I like how it came out and how it looks as it’s just how I imagined it would. I don’t think I would have done anything differently as it looks good but maybe some neatness would be fine. I do feel like my drawing skills improved a bit as I took more time to do the work. I feel like I did well and took my time to make it look well. I like how it looks but I think I could work on using more of the blank space. I would’ve probably fixed my issue of not using scrap paper to stop the bleeding. Since I forget the next page and the next drawing has quite a bit of bleeding which ruins the image. I feel like they didn’t really improve from this piece as it is just shapes and not much else. I feel like I did ok on this but I wish I could do something better. I think it looks fine but is too simple and I only did this one since there was sharpie bleeding through so I used the black bars to cover that and it also get rid of a patt...
